Molinaro - Parma

Following Torino’s comfortable victory in the Europa League third qualifying round, Christian Molinaro insisted it was just the first step of many.

The Granata enjoyed a 4-0 victory in the second leg, disposing of Brommapojkarna of Sweden by a 7-0 aggregate margin, and now just have one round to negotiate before the group stage.

Molinaro spoke to Mediaset after the match, insisting there is more to come from Giampiero Ventura’s side.

“We still have a long way to go,” he admitted. “We are aware of that. Tonight [Thursday] just confirmed what we did in the first leg.

“I am still not 100 percent,” the full-back went on, “but these games will help us be ready for both the Europa League and the start of the championship.

“I want to give my best here for Torino,” the summer acquisition from Parma continued. “We are all aware of the importance of this competition to our fans. This match must mark the beginning of an important season.”
