Inter defender Yuto Nagatomo has revealed that he’s satisfied with the way the Biscione played in their friendly victory over Roma on Saturday and is happy to have scored a goal.

The Nerazzurri managed to secure a comfortable 2-0 win in their Guinness International Champions Cup match against the Giallorossi, with the 27-year-old doubling his team’s lead in the second half after a first half header goal from Nemanja Vidic, and the former Cesena man admits that he still hasn’t reached full form this summer.

Nagatomo spoke to Inter Channel after the win over Roma about his goal and the defensive partnership with team-mate Jonathan, while also commenting on his mission to continue working hard ahead of the 2014-15 campaign.

“I’m very happy for my goal and I’m also happy with the way that we played,” said the Japanese international.

“There is a nice chemistry with Jonathan playing on the right side. I still have to work hard, I’m currently only at about 70 per cent.”
