Federico Fernandez - NapoliNapoli’s Argentine defender Federico Fernandez is closing in on a €10 million switch to Premier League side Swansea.

The 25-year-old has strongly been linked with a move away from the Neapolitan outfit in recent days and Napoli have already started looking at signing Liverpool’s Daniel Agger as a replacement.

According to reports in Gazzetta dello Sport, Fernandez sat out of Napoli’s training sessions this morning to avoid taking any unnecessary risks and jeopardise any transfer deal after Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis decided to allow the player to leave for around €10 million.

The centre back joined Napoli from Estudiantes back in 2011 but he has struggled at the club and during at the start of 2013 he was loaned out to Getafe for the remainder of the season before rejoining the Neapolitans for last season.
