Roma have reportedly struck a deal with Lille defender Marko Basa.

The defender has been linked with the Giallorossi for the majority of the summer and now appears to have finalized a transfer that will see him move to the Serie A giants.

La Gazzetta dello Sport revealed that a deal had been reached today between both clubs as well as the player.

This transfer will see Basa reunite with Roma coach Rudi Garcia who worked together when the Frenchman was the coach of Lille.

This transfer will make the Montenegrin international the latest addition in what has proven to be a very busy summer for the Giallorossi.

Roma director of football, Walter Sabatini is also allegedly interested in bringing in either Davide Santon, Matteo Darmian, or Rafael to bolster the squad’s outside of defense.

With the recent transfer of Medhi Benatia, the Lupi have some room to work with in order to bring more players in their ranks to prepare for the long arduous season that awaits, which includes their return to Champions League football.
