Serie B have revealed details of their fixture announcement for next season, with the schedule set to be unveiled on August 7.
The division will contain only 21 teams this season following the expulsion of Siena, meaning that a future reduction to 20 teams will be able to be enacted more smoothly.
A statement on Lega Serie B’s website explained details of the fixture presentation, set to be streamed live at a variety of internet portals.
“In the evocative Villa Marigola in San Terenzo di Lerici,” a statement on LegaSerieB.it read. “The calendar will be unveiled for the next Championship, which will start on Friday, August 29th with the inaugural match.”
The fixture list will be announced following an ordinary assembly of Lega Serie B, and will also feature the introduction of the official ball, designed by Puma, that will be used throughout the season.
Previous fixture announcements have been in Verona and Palermo, with Serie B choosing Liguria this season because two of the regions sides will be competing in the division, La Spezia and Virtus Entella.
