Ogbonna – Juventus

Spanish club Sevilla have reportedly stepped up their negotiations for Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna.

The former Torino man is out of favour at the Bianconeri and has been thought to be seeking a move elsewhere with clubs such as Atletico Madrid and Arsenal said to be monitoring the situation.

However, according to Tuttosport it is the Europa League champions who are closest to signing the 26 year old on an initial loan deal.

Ogbonna was signed by the Serie A champions for around €13 million from local rivals Torino last season but struggled to break into the first team making just 19 appearances.

The 6ft 2in centre back is an Italy international with nine caps since making his debut for the Azzurri in 2011, however due to his lack of playing time last season he was not considered for Italy’s 23 man World Cup squad.
