Lazio aims to end an active transfer campaign with a bang by making a push to acquire Parma center back Gabriel Paletta and move Alvaro Gonzalez and Abdoulay Konko off the Aquile books.

Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito is looking to ship off Gonzalez who has attracted interest from Premier League clubs West Ham and Southampton, while Marseille is keen on bringing native son Konko, who has spent his entire career in Italy, to his hometown club.

Corriere della Sera reports Lazio is seeking a loan deal of €2 million with a buyout clause of €6m for 28-year old Paletta, who made his Italian national team debut this year and featured in Prandelli’s Azzurri squad at this summer’s World Cup.

Paletta would serve as the proverbial cherry on the Lazio cake coming off his strong campaign for the Gialloblu last season and would provide Lazio with a formidable central defensive, pairing with new signing Stefan De Vrij, who joined for €8.5m three weeks ago.
