Udinese have signed Paraguayan defender Ivan Piris on loan from Deportive Maldonado of Uruguay.
The 25-year-old right full-back spent last season on loan in Portugal with Sporting Lisbon after having spent the 2012/2013 campaign at Roma where he was ever present under then coach Zdenek Zeman making 29 appearances for the Giallorossi.
According to the Zebrette official website, Piris has signed on a year long loan with the option to make the deal permanent in 2015.
Piris was part of the Paraguayan side that finished runners-up in the 2011 Copa America where they eventually lost 3-0 to Uruguay in the final, and has made 13 appearances for his country.
