Former Italy star Christian Vieri voiced his approval at the news that the AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli is to be sold to Premier League side Liverpool.
Having been linked with a possible move away from San Siro for much of the summer, Balotelli is now on his way to Merseyside after Liverpool struck a deal with the Italian giants.
The long-term critic of Balotelli was vocal in his criticism of the former Inter striker after the World Cup and Vieri singled out Adriano Galliani for much praise after getting rid of the 24-year-old.
The 41-year-old took to Twitter to declare his objection to the sale stating, “Today Adriano Galliani has made the best DEAL in the history of MILAN”.
The Rossoneri and Balotelli endured a torrid campaign last season missing out on Europe entirely with the Italian managing 14 goals, only two more than the previous season in which he only played for half a season.
The Italian international will now return to the Premier League in what will be his second stint, having previously playing for Manchester City in which he accumulated 20 goals in 54 appearances.
