Roma striker Mattia Destro could be on the move, with German side Wolfsburg alleged to have started negotiations with the player.

The Giallorossi seem to be willing to listen to offers after the arrival of a number of striking reinforcements, including €26 million man Juan Iturbe, but only is Destro’s value is met.

According to Rai Sport, Wolfsburg plan on offering Roma €25 million in the hopes of landing the player, with Destro’s representatives having informed the Bundesliga side that the player would require a contract of around €4m a year.

Roma would be reluctant to lose the striker but a fee of between €25 – 30m would be enough to tempt the Romans into selling the Italian international striker.

Wolfsburg have taken the initiative after missing out on the likes of new Juventus striker Alvaro Morata earlier this summer, though Premier League side Tottenham are still monitoring the situation and are ready to make a move if the player becomes available.
