AC Milan and Inter officials are meeting today to discuss the future of the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza which the two Milanese giants have shared since 1947.

A lunchtime meeting on Thursday is being held between Erik Thohir, president of Inter and Milan CEO Barbara Berlusconi at the Villa Belvedere. Adriano Galliani is also expected to attend.

Top of the agenda is the restructuring of the San Siro following the announcement that the famous arena has won the rights to host the 2016 Champions League final.

It has been suggested that Thohir may also raise his willingness to make Inter the sole owners of the ground. The Rossoneri have recently asserted their ambitions to move out of the stadium and construct a new venue.

The final in 2016 will be the fourth time that the competition has been decided at the San Siro.
