AC Milan striker Stephan El Shaarawy has suffered another injury setback, albeit a minor one.
The 21 year old Italian international was in scintillating form on match day one as he put on a brilliant performance to help the Rossoneri claim all three points from Lazio.
However, the pacey frontman has been left out of coach Filippo Inzaghi’s 23-man squad for the trip to Parma on Sunday due to a minor ankle injury.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, El Shaarawy suffered an ankle sprain while training with Italy during the international break, keeping him out of games against the Netherlands and Norway.
Medical tests on the player reveal that his ankle is still slightly inflamed from the knock, which will rule him out of Milan’s game against the Ducali.
El Shaarawy is expected to make a return on time to feature in the Rosseneri’s highly anticipated clash with Juventus on September 20th.
