Italy defender Davide Astori was pleased with his team’s 2-0 victory against Norway as the Azzurri kept a cleansheet.
The Azzurri were comfortable winners at the Ullevaal Stadium, and begin their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign in the best possible way thanks to goals from Simone Zaza and Leonardo Bonucci, though the Roma defender was more pleased by not conceding.
“We are pleased not to have conceded a goal, and that we gave away very little, both today and against the Netherlands,” Astori told Sky Sport Italia.
“We can still improve in some aspects, but we have shown we are on the right path.
“Norway, as time went on, tried to attack more but they had less and less energy and we managed them well.”
