Italy defender Davide Astori believes that the presence of several Juventus players in the national team has helped the squad to settle under new coach Antonio Conte.
The Roma defender is encouraged by what he has seen from Conte and believes that the concepts of the former Juventus coach and Roma boss Rudi Garcia as similar.
“The impact under the new coach was great, thanks also to the Juventus block that has helped us to understand the concept of the coach immediately,” he stated at a press conference as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.
“Mr. Conte is always enthralling, on the bench and in training. He always knows what to do. The concepts are similar with Roma and with the national team.
“Garcia and Conte? They are both excellent coaches.”
Conte opened his Azzurri career with a 2-0 friendly victory over the Netherlands on September 4.
