Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has stated the Nerazzurri are pleased with their transfer window after strengthening the side while holding on to Mateo Kovacic and Mauro Icardi.

The club brought in notable players like Gary Medel, Nemanja Vidic, Pablo Osvaldo and Yann M’Vila, while successfully selling off players who were surplus to requirements.

“All of our transfer objectives have been met in an absolute way,” Ausilio stated while speaking to Radio Appiano.

“The mountain [of wages] has been reduced, and the average age of the team is around two-and-a-half years less than in previous years.”

Kovacic and Icardi represent the young talent at the Biscione, and their value is not lost on Ausilio who noted that there are no plans to sell the young stars.

“Kovacic and Icardi are non-transferable. Dodo, Osvaldo, Medel and M’Vila are also all important players for the present and future of Inter.”
