Conte - ItalyItaly coach Antonio Conte believes that the new additions to the Azzurri squad will become key players for the current team as well as the future.

Despite the presence of experienced players like Daniele De Rossi and Gianluigi Buffon, Conte granted playing time to some of the peninsula’s emerging stars in Italy’s 2-0 win against Norway in their Euro 2016 qualifier.

“Today we played with [Mattia] De Sciglio, [Matteo] Darmian, [Simone] Zaza, [Ciro] Immobile, [Alessandro] Florenzi, [Andrea] Poli and [Mattia] Destro,” Conte said in his post-match press conference as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.

“They are our present and our future. They are the right mix of youngsters and experienced footballers to get us out of this difficult situation.

“It has pleased me a lot to know these guys. I am proud to have worn the national team jersey and they want to make Italy’s fans happy.

“Today my team did everything right with intensity and concentration. This is the motive for which we have obtained this very important win.”
