Paolo De Ceglie has expressed his delight to be with new club Parma, and how impressed he has been with the Ducali.

The defender moved to the Stadio Ennio Tardini from Juventus on transfer deadline day in a deal that had been mooted all summer.

“I am impressed with the structure and organisation of the club,” he enthused in his presentation to the press. “On my first day, the impact was very positive.

“I can play on the out wide and in the middle,” he continued, “but I’ve always let the coach tell me my role – my versatility is my biggest asset.”

De Ceglie has also been able to be reunited with an old colleage at Parma in sporting director Pietro Leonardi.

“With Leonardi I have a long-running relationship and happy memories,” the defender continued. “When I arrived at Juventus, he found me accommodation at a property for young people, as I was in a position of staying away from home.”
