Adriano Galliani was positive about the recent signings AC Milan have made in the summer transfer window.

The Milan vice-president also commented on the deal to bring Fernando Torres from Chelsea, which he himself explains was no easy feat.

“For three days I was almost always on the phone,” Galliani told Sky Sport Italia. “It took eight hours to find the economic agreement.”

However, it is not just Torres that Milan should be looking forward to adding to the squad, with Galliani emphasising the need for the summer ins and outs.

“It was an extremely important transfer campaign,” Galliani continued.

“We brought in a great goalkeeper in Diego Lopez, two players from Paris Saint-Germain  [Jeremy Menez and Alex] plus Michael Agazzi and Albertazzi.”

Milan’s recent buying spree has been centred around the philosophy to not have the same results of last year, where they finished in eighth in Serie A.

“Milan must try to get in the top three, not behind the first three,” Galliani exclaimed.
