Honda: Inzaghi has made a difference to AC Milan

Keisuke Honda praised his AC Milan side and attributes the influence of new coach Filippo Inzaghi to the Rossoneri’s hot start at the beginning of the Serie A campaign.

The former CSKA Moscow midfielder was signed in January and struggled to display any consistency as AC Milan finished to a disappointing eighth place and subsequently hired Inzaghi as their third coach in less than a year.

“Great things have happened this season and the new players and [coach] Inzaghi are part of the details which has made all the difference,” Honda said in an interview with the Milan Channel.

“Last year I gave it everything I had and did what I could, but sometimes in football you get good results and sometimes you don’t.”

Honda has found his scoring boots hitting the back of the net in each of AC Milan’s victories after netting only twice in 14 Serie A appearances last campaign.
