Inter fullback Dodo is “really happy” with his first call-up to the Brazilian national team by new coach Carlos Dunga.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a good start at his new club, and has been rewarded with a call-up for his national team in the friendlies against Argentina and Japan.
“I’m reallyhappy,I did not thinkthecallwould arriveright nowbecauseBrazil playedrecently soI could not know,” Dodo told SporTV.
“It was really a nice surprise,myevolutionis due to thenumber of games I’ve played, but alsoto the fact thatI changed the level of compeition.
“InItaly, it is a more tactical type of game, maybea bit slower when compared to other European leagues.
“Defensively, I’mworking on that aspect a lot.I must say thatfor my position andfor mydaily learning, it matters a lotthe fact that I’m playing for Inter.”
