Inter have moved ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk ace Yevhen Konoplyanka.
Liverpool nearly secured the 24-year-old Ukrainian international in January, but the club blocked the deal at the last minute.
The Mirror report that the winger rejected a contract extension and the club is set to sell him in January for a cut-price rather than lose him on a free next summer when his current deal expires.
Inter are readying a bid for the winger, whilst Liverpool have turned their priority to another defender.
Konoplyanka impressed the Inter officials during his side’s 1-0 loss against the Nerazzurri in the Europa League on Thursday night.
