Lazio and Sampdoria to battle for Uruguayan starlet
Sampdoria were originally the frontrunners to secure the 20-year-olds signature, but it is believed that Lazio have shown late interest in the defender.
According to tuttomercatoweb.com, Lazio are exploring a contact close to the former River Plate Montevideo in regards to bringing him to the Olimpico.
The 20-year-old has been capped by Uruguay at Under 17 level but is yet to feature at any other level for his country.
