Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has paid tribute to new signing Mario Balotelli after his impressive debut performance against Tottenham.
The 24 year old ex-AC Milan striker started and played an hour of his new side’s convincing 3-0 victory away to Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
“Balotelli hadan excellent debut, he has settledwellandbehavedwell in training, leaving behindall the talkthat preceded it,” Rodgers told reporters after the game.
“Today I felt that anything that could gowell, did go well.
“Ourdefensive organizationwas very good, we played withamidfielddiamondfor the firsttime, leading tovarious threatsthat departmentand the two boysinattackwere fantastic.
“We scoredthree goals,butwe could have scored even more.”
