Liverpool striker Fabio Borini is reportedly intent on waiting for Inter to make their interest in his services concrete come the January transfer window.

Despite the former Roma striker’s insistence that he is focused only on Liverpool, the 23-year old is reportedly not in manager Brendan Rodgers’ plans this season despite the Italian rejected moves to Sunderland and Queens Park Rangers in order to stay and fight for his place at Anfield.

As a result The Daily Mirror are reporting that the forward could make a move to Inter in the January transfer window, as Walter Mazzarri’s side look to beef up their attack.

However, with fellow Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge expected to be out for three weeks with a thigh injury sustained whilst on England duty, Borini could yet find himself moved up the Anfield pecking order.

Borini spent last season on loan at Sunderland, making 32 Premier League appearances and scoring seven goals, including the winning goal in the their 2-1 victory over rivals Newcastle United in the Tyne-Wear derby.
