In the ninth minute, Napoli came close to doubling their lead when Callejón made a run towards the net and passing off to Marek Hamsik on the wing. Hamsik cut to his left at the top of the box striking the ball with his left foot and hitting the top of the crossbar.

But just two minutes later, Duván Zapata grabbed his 1st goal of the Serie A campaign with a curling shot into the top right corner of Stefano Sorrentino’s goal, making it 2-0 for Gli Azzurri.

The visiting Palermo side would rally back quickly, scoring two goals just six minutes apart.

At the 18th minute mark, Belotti headed in an Edgar Barreto cross for the Rosanero, cutting Napoli’s lead in half. Palermo were able to tie up the match at 24 minutes when Franco Vazquez was able to steer Michel Morganella’s centering pass into the back of Napoli’s goal, making it 2-2.

The second half saw the visitors come out aggressive to try and tie up the match.

Just sixteen minutes into the second, Belotti came inches away from leveling the match but the young Italian’s shot would hit the left post.
