New Genoa signing Facundo Roncaglia says he can’t wait to face his old club Fiorentina when the Serie A restarts after the international break.
The 27 year old Argentinian international finally completed his move to the Grifone on deadline day, after a protracted saga that lasted nearly the whole summer.
“I’m really happy to have arrived at Genoa because the Grifone fans are similar to those in Argentina,” Roncaglia said in a press conference.
“The next game will be against Fiorentina, and I I feel ready to be able to take the field against my former team and I hope to show all my qualities.
“I have yet to meet my teammates in the locker room, but I like the atmosphere already. [Alessandro] Matri? We hugged, we have an excellent relationship.”
