Conte - Norway v ItalyItaly coach Antonio Conte is monitoring several new faces that could be included in his upcoming squad for the Azzurri’s two European Championship qualifiers.

The Azzurri will meet Azerbaijan on October 10 and Malta on October 13 in 2016 UEFA European Championship qualifiers and predictions are being made as to whom Conte will call up.

La Gazzetta dello Sport has already stated their anticipated squad despite the matched being two weeks away.

Both Andrea Pirlo and Mario Balotelli are in doubt as the midfielder has been sidelined for the majority of the 2014/15 season due to injury and there has been a deliberate lack of inclusion of Balotelli in prior Conte call ups.

Unsurprisingly, Simone Zaza has been included as the Sassuolo forward made his international debut in early September and scored the first goal in Italy’s 2–0 win over Norway.

Udinese’s Antonio Di Natale has not been includede despite currently being tied as top scorer in the Serie A Goalscorer with Juventus’ Carlos Tevez, Parma’s Antonio Cassano, and Inter’s Pablo Daniel Osvaldo.

Italy currently lead Group I in 2016 Euro Qualifiers, with three points from the away win against Norway.  Both Azerbaijan and Malta lost their opening matches.
