Hellas Verona signing Javier Saviola is confident in his ability to win his new side points, after taking part in his first training session with the club.
The former Barcelona and Real Madrid striker signed a one-year contract with the Gialloblu, moving from Olympiakos.
“The objective of Verona? I want to do my best to make as many points as possible”, the 32-year-old told the press during his presentation as a Mastini striker.
“I’ve always played as a second striker, behind the central striker, but I’m available to do whatever my coach asks.”
Speaking of how he was recruited into Serie A for the first time, he continued, “The negotiations lasted very little, the club convinced me straight away.
“I can’t wait to play in the Italian league, one of the best in the world.”
