AC Milan sporting director Rocco Maiorino has traveled to South America to begin scouting potential transfer targets.

Maiorino was involved in Milan’s scouting system before his appointment as sporting director at the beginning of the season, and has identified seven players whom the Rossoneri are set to scout further.

According to Sky Sport Italia the Rossoneri have identified as many as seven prospects they intend on conducting observations.

River Plate quartet Leonel Vangioni, Augusto Bastalla, Sebastian Driussi and Matias Sanchez make up the bulk of their targets, in addition to Velez Sarsfield striker Rodolfo Combe and San Lorenzo star Hector Villalba.

Lastly there is River Plate youngster Giovanni Simeone who is the son of former Inter player and current Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone.

It is also worth mentioning that Villalba was previously linked with Hellas Verona in the summer.
