AC Milan welcome Chievo Verona to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza for the Saturday evening game in Serie A with each side looking for improvements.

The Rossoneri, despite a good start to the season, after winning their first two games against Lazio and Parma have now gone three games without a win and haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of those matches. Calamitous defending has become the hallmark of this Milan side side once more with eight conceded in their last four games.

Meanwhile, Chievo have failed to build upon a narrow loss to Juventus and a great win away at the Stadio San Paolo over Napoli. They are also without a win three games, and lost to struggling Parma last weekend 3-2 after taking the lead early on in the game.

Both sides only managed a 1-1 draw against newly promoted sides, Chievo at home to Empoli, and Milan away at Cesena, thus will be looking to get stalling seasons back on track.

The Flying Donkeys have visited the San Siro to play the Rossoneri 12 times and have yet to taste victory, Milan are unbeaten in the last 15 encounters both home and away. Last season Chievo failed to score in both games drawing 0-0 in the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi before losing 3-0 at the San Siro.

Heading into the game Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi will be without the suspended Cristian Zapata after his red card against Cesena and also without the injured quartet of Riccardo Montolivo, Diego Lopez, Riccardo Saponara and loanee Marco van Ginkel. There are also doubts over star forward Jeremy Menez after he suffered an inflammation of his knee tendons in training, so isn’t likely to start the match.

Chievo Coach Eugenio Corini has almost a fully fit squad with just the duo of Mariano Izco and Dejan Lazarevi missing through injury.

Expected Starting XIs

Milan – Abbiati; Abate, Alex, Rami, De Scigio; De Jong, Muntari, Poli; Honda, El Shaarawy; Torres

Chievo – Bardi; Frey, Cesar, Dainelli, Biraghi; Radovanovic, Cofie, Hetemaj; Birsa; Maxi Lopez, Paloschi
