Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri conceded his team were not at their best after the draw with Sassuolo on Saturday.

The 1-1 result ended La Vecchia Signora’s perfect start to this season, as well as a 13 match winning Serie A run, but believed the Neroverdi deserved credit for their performance.

“Sassuolo created problems for us tonight,” Allegri told Sky Sport Italia.

“We did not have many shots on goal and this allowed them to get several counter-attacks.

“They pushed us back and made us run risks, even though Consigli saved them a few times we could, and should, have done better, we adjusted the tactical system in the second half and there was a little confusion.”

On Juve’s Scudetto hopes the former AC Milan coach insisted the result won’t affect anything.

“The draw of this evening does not affect anything,” the tactician continued. “The championship is still very long and a start of six wins and one draw is Scudetto winning form so I have no concerns.”

Juventus are still top of Serie A, but one point ahead of second-placed Roma.
