Boca Juniors remain hopeful of resigning Carlos Tevez from Juventus in the coming year.
The Argentine club, whom Tevez played for between 2001 and 2004, are planning talks with the Vecchia Signora forward over a possible return to his homeland.
”Let’s see if Tevez comes back next year, I’ll talk to him and see if it’s a good time,”Boca president Daniel Angelici told ESPN.
“He wants to end his career at Boca,”Angelici told Fox Sports Radio Del Plata. “I am convinced he will join Boca when his current contract ends, he will end his career at Boca.
“He gave me his word he will return, but he won’t be our next signing as he is still under contract with Juventus.”
Tevez has scored six goals this season in Serie A, as well as two goals in two games in the Champions League.
