Atalanta coach Stefano Colantuono had few positive things to say about his team’s loss to Udinese on Sunday afternoon.
The Bergamo side were defeated decisively by Udinese as goals from Antonio Di Natale and Cyril Thereau marked Atalanta’s fifth loss in their last six Serie A fixtures.
“I cannot explain what happened,” Colantuono told Radio Rai. “It was a total blackout. The match started badly and ended badly.”
Colantuono was asked about why German Denis did not start for Atalanta.
“I wanted to keep him fresh for our fixture against Napoli but given the situation at halftime, I put him in. It was not enough though.”
