Swedish midfielder Albin Ekdal has told of his desire to remain a Cagliari player for as long as possible.
The former Juventus man has been in sensational form of late, having scored four goals this season including a hattrick against Inter last month.
Speaking to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Ekdal heaped praise on his coach Zdenek Zeman and his methods at the Sardinian club.
“Zeman is a master, he encourages the midfield to also take shots at goal. His ideas are clear and he insists on us playing well, even when 4-0 up.”
On life at his current club, Ekdal said: “Life is much less stressful here at Cagliari, it’s like being on holiday. If I ever leave it will be to play outside of Italy.”
After a poor start to the current campaign, Cagliari are currently sitting 13th in Serie A.
