Norway v Italy - Immobile

Italy striker Ciro Immobile has said that Azerbaijan made things hard for the Azzurri on Friday night.

The Azzurri defeated the Milli 2-1 at the Stadio Renzo Barbera courtesy of goals from Giorgio Chiellini, and the Borussia Dortmund stated that Berti Vogts’ men made things tough.

“Zaza and I are trying to our best in every game,” he told Rai Sport. “What matters is the national team, and today we earned an important victory.”

The former Torino man then went on to thank the supporters for their turnout on Friday, as well as saying that Azerbaijan closed the game.

“I have to thank the supporters,” he said. “The stadium was full and it gave us a huge boost.

“We tried to do what was asked of us but Azerbaijan closed the spaces and made things hard.”

It is also worth mentioning that the Azzurri are set to face Malta on Monday in Ta’Qali, as they aim to take their tally to nine points in Group H.
