Inter are aiming to sign Roberto Firmino and Fabio Borini in the January transfer window.

After a poor start to the season, the Milan club have set out their priorities for signings, despite it being almost three months until a deal can be completed.

According to Tuttosport, the main target is Hoffenheim attacking midfielder Roberto Firmino, who joined the Bundesliga side in 2011.

However, the 23-year-old Brazilian is thought to want Champions League football, which the Nerazzurri will have to promise to provide soon, in order to tempt the talented playmaker.

In addition to Firmino, Inter are looking into signing Fabio Borini from English giants Liverpool, with a preference for a loan move.

Borini, who performed well on-loan at Sunderland last season, rejected a permanent move to the Black Cats to stay and fight for a starting spot at Anfield.

However, with little progress made in the first quarter of the season, Inter could become a tempting prospect for the Italian striker.

The 23-year-old Borini scored seven goals while at Sunderland last season, while Firmino fired home 16 goals for Hoffenheim.
