Inter are leading the race for German winger Lukas Podolski, who seems set to leave Arsenal in the January transfer window.

Podolski, 29, joined Arsenal in 2012, but seems set to leave London in the upcoming window due to a lack of game time. He came close to joining Juventus on loan at the end of last season’s transfer window, but is now a target for rivals Inter. The former Bayern Munich forward scored 16 times in debut season with the Gunners, but injuries and competition have meant he is no longer a regular.

According to the Daily Star, Inter are the most likely to land Podolski, although it’s unclear whether the move will be on loan or permanent.

Podolski, a World Cup Winner with Germany, fuelled rumours of an exit when he stated that: “If I don’t have this competition every weekend then a change must occur.”

The German has yet to score or assist a goal for Arsenal in all competitions so far this season, having only one start to his name so far.
