Walter Mazzarri’s Inter come of the back of two crushing defeats; 3-0 to Fiorentina and 4-1 to Cagliari, while Rafael Benitez’s Napoli side have seven points from their last three games.
Inter’s prolific striker Rodrigo Palacio is likely to start alongside compatriot Mauro Icardi, while Napoli midfielder Walter Gargano is set to miss the match with a cheekbone injury. He is expected to be replaced by replaced by summer signing David Lopez. Both sides will be using the same formation as they have all season: Napoli will play in a conventional 4-2-3-1 system, while Inter will use Mazzarri’s 3-5-2 system.
Inter are expected to make three changes from the team outclassed by Fiorentina: Hernanes replacing Yann M’Vila, Yuto Nagatomo returning from his suspension to replace Daniele D’Ambrosio in right midfield, and Rodrigo Palacio in for Pablo Osvaldo.
Meanwhile Napoli captain Marek Hamsik is expected to return in his preferred role behind Gonzalo Higuain at the expense of Swansea loanee Michu.
