Lazio striker Keita Balde Diao has been ruled out of action for two to three weeks after suffering a calf injury.

The Spanish footballer picked up the injury during a midweek training session and subsequent medical tests at Formello have revealed a calf injury.

The Biancocelesti have released a statement confirming that the striker has sustained a grade 1 strain in his left soleus (calf) muscle.

The club has also informed that the player has started physical therapy and is expected to recover in two to three weeks time.

Keita, who has been out of the first team picture in recent weeks under Stefano Pioli, joined Lazio in the summer of 2011 and has over 23 appearances for the Biancocelesti.
