David Moyes says he is open to going abroad in his desire for a new managerial position, with Inter one destination being touted.

Moyes, sacked by Manchester United after less than a year in charge, has talked about the possibility of leaving the Premier League to manage on the continent.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, the Scot said: “I’m ready to go back, I don’t want anymore time away from management.

“Whether it will be in the Premiership, or not, will be fine; perhaps it would be a good opportunity to go abroad.

Moyes may find it difficult to find a top English club to take him after a disappointing reign at Old Trafford, and he believes more British coaches should consider earning experience abroad.

“I have always supported the coaches and players who go abroad, it is a good thing we have the likes of [Jose] Mourinho and [Arsene] Wenger, but I think we will have to export British managers for them to further their career.

“I too have an open mind on where I will go in the future.”

With Inter’s stuttering start to the season, Walter Mazzarri’s position has become ever-more precarious, and an experienced manager like Moyes could tempt club president Erick Thohir into changing tack at the Giuseppe Meazza.

Inter take on Rafa Benitez’s Napoli when Serie A resumes on October 19.
