Roma’s summer loan signing Leandro Paredes has only been in the Italian capital for a few months but already seems to be settling in well.
Signing from Boca Juniors, Paredes cites Juan Roman Riquelme as a big help to his career and now Daniele De Rossi is playing a major part.
“I have been compared to Riquelme in Argentina. He was very important to me when I was young and got into the first team [at Boca Juniors],” he told Roma TV.
“I feel good and I’m happy here with my family. De Rossi talks to me a lot and I can learn a lot from him.”
Paredes is thought highly of in his home land and scored five goals in 28 league appearances for Boca Juniors. He is represented Argentina at Under 15 and Under 17 level.
The attacking midfielder has featured in two Serie A matches this term, both as a substitute.
