Udinese coach Andrea Stramaccioni has revealed his desire to return to former team Inter.

Stramaccioni was coach at Inter for fourteen months before being fired last summer after failing to gain European qualification however the Rome born coach claims he would welcome a return to the San Siro.

“One day I aim to return as Inter coach,” Stramaccioni told Radio 1.

“I hope to return soon to make a point.

“It’s normal for a coach to aim to return in the future to a great team like Inter.

“Inter are one of the biggest teams in Italy and they will always have a special place in my heart.

“I was disappointed with how it ended as we had some bad results.”

Stramaccioni went on to talk about other issues such as his current side Udinese and their captain Antonio Di Natale.

“Udinese is a great place for me to be coach and I am proud to have been chosen by the Pozzo family,” he continued.

“Here the word project is not used without meaning, we truly believe in it.

“Our goal is survival and to already have 13 points on the board is important.

“Antonio is a great player who has had a harder route to the top than most other amazing players like Totti.

“He was in the lower divisions for a long time but now he is one of the best in Serie A. He is a great example to young players.”
