AC Milan’s Spanish striker Fernando Torres is confident in the ability of the team to obtain this season’s objectives and return to playing European football.

The striker, on loan from Chelsea on a two year deal, is clear about both his and the team’s aims as the Rossoneri goes through a rebuilding process.

“I’m proud of what I did in Spain and England and I would like that to be repeated in Italy,”the 30 year old told ondacero.es.

“The arrival of Inzaghi on the bench has generated a lot of enthusiasm for the season.

“We’re aiming high, but we must keep our feet on the ground but our objective is to get back to Europe, we are looking to reconstruct the great Milan.

“If I make a mark for Milan then hopefully I can return to the national team, but my priority is Milan.”

The 2010 World Cup winner has scored once for Milan this season in five appearances.
