AC Milan looking into Matri return

AC Milan are apparently considering the return of Alessandro Matri to the club in the summer.

The 30-year-old is currently on-loan at fellow Serie A side Genoa and has been in impressive form, bagging five goals and three assists in nine league appearances this season.

According to Sport Italia, Milan have one eye on the introduction of new Serie A rules which would mean the club need to have four players in their side trained by their youth academy, a slot which Matri falls into.

Genoa are looking to keep the player but a possible exchange between Matri and Giampaolo Pazzini, who has found himself out of favour at the San Siro, has been mooted.
