AC Milan have met with the agent of Switzerland and Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka, reports claim.
The Rossoneri are in the market for a strong creative midfielder, and the highly-rated Xhaka is believed to fit the criteria well.
Representatives from the Serie A giants have already met with the player’s representatives to discuss the possibility of a move, according to SportMediaset.
There is no suggestion that the Monchengladbach would be willing to see the 22-year-old leave, as he has featured heavily already in this season’s Bundesliga campaign and still has three years left on his contract.
Xhaka was one of Switzerland’s goalscorers in the 2014 World Cup, scoring in the 5-2 loss to France.
