Liverpool are apparently already searching for replacements for former AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli, who has thus far failed to impress the Anfield crowd.

Having only scored twice, once in the Champions League and once in the League Cup, since joining the club, coupled with the continued injury issues to Daniel Sturridge, Liverpool are said to be looking to bolster their front line.

The target, according to The Mirror, is Colombian international striker Jackson Martinez, who has impressed with 72 goals in 107 appearances for Porto since 2012, after making the move from Mexican Primera Division side Chiapas.

It is believed the player could cost in the region of €30 million and has put Balotelli’s future at Liverpool in doubt.
