Ashley Cole will be given a new chance as a starter in Roma’s match against Torino, and with it he hopes to convince not only Rudi Garcia but the the Giallorossi’s fans he is still a quality player.

The rumours from the United States are not stopping, clubs in  Major League Soccer would like to take Cole away from Roma as early as January. The English left-back has so far not convinced at Roma following his free transfer move in the summer from English Premier League side Chelsea.

Sources close to Cole state that the player would like to avoid going to the USA at the moment and remain in the capital to disprove talks that his career is now on the decline. He hopes for the Torino game to be an answer to his critics.

Cole was capped 107 times for England before calling time on his international career, shortly before the 2014 World Cup in Brazil after having failed to be included in the preliminary squad.
