Lazio midfielder Ederson has expressed his happiness of returning to the field following a long-term injury.
The Brazilian international has been sidelined since January 20 with a damaged hamstring and has missed 26 matches of the Biancocelesti. The 28-year-old believes the nightmare is over and has thought only of being match-fit.
“Yes the nightmare is over, after the injury I thought only of returning to the pitch,” he told Mediaset.
“[It has been] since the end of last season that I have worked to return to the pitch and now I am happy.
“I thank all those who helped me and worked with me to get back onto the field.”
Ederson also spoke of the Biancocelesti’s 4-2 victory over Cagliari, saying the side still needs to improve.
“We have room for improvement and the team can still grow,” he continued.
“We have to look at who goes before us, so we can keep focussed.”
