Lazio midfielder Ederson believes that the capital city club have the ability to earn a surprise victory over Juventus at home on November 22.
The fifth place Biancocelesti have only lost once in their last seven Serie A matches and the 28-year-old is confident that the hosts can shock the Bianconeri at the Stadio Olimpico as long as they have faith and play with a high level of intensity.
Ederson spoke to Lazio Style Radio about the upcoming match against Juventus and what Lazio can do to secure three points against the league leaders, while insisting that the most important thing is to remain positive.
“It will be tough to go up against the reigning champions of Italy, they give a lot of teams a hard time with their level of intensity,” said the Brazilian.
“We must play with the highest level of intensity. If we want to win we must believe in ourselves, have the strongest faith possible.
“Believing is the first step to making an exploit, we have the chance to win. If we pull out the best in ourselves then we can do it and surprise everyone a bit.
“Every time we face Juve we try to face them at our best, the coach gives a lot of attention to our tactical preparations.
“If we prepare well we can surprise them and earn a positive result.”
