Michael Essien AC MilanMichael Essien has urged fans and team-mates to move on from the Derby disappointment against Inter and focus on the upcoming fixtures.

The game ended 1–1 with both teams disappointed to not claimed all three points, especially after Stephan El Shaarawy missing a guilt edged chance late on to give AC Milan the victory.

“The derby was difficult, but we did well. We also had the chance to take home the three points, but we didn’t succeed,” Essien said to the Milan Channel.

“I’m quite satisfied [with my performance], I tried to be ready whenever the coach calls me. Now we [AC Milan] have to be focused only on the upcoming games until Christmas.”

The midfielder has only featured three times for AC Milan this season, but surprisingly was given the nod to start in the Rossoneri’s derby clash at the weekend.
